Reports: Proud remembers of Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 10212
were in attendance and supported the twenty-forth annual G. Holmes Braddock
Senior High School Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corp. (NJROTC) award
ceremony and cadet staff change of command. NJROTC at 'Braddock" is led by
Captain Juan J. Fernandez, USMC (Ret.) and Navy Counselor First Class Petty
Officer (NC1) Johnny Martinez, USN (Ret.). The "Braddock" NJROTC Unit
was stood up in 1994 and they have ever since strive for excellence and perfection
and since then have been recognized with numerous awards, recognition and
accolades. With many such planned and scheduled events on the night of
Thursday May 4th 2017, VFW Post 10212 along with members from the American
Legion Post 346 were spread all over Miami-Dade attending and supporting
similar events at other schools and banquet halls. The unit that was
dispatched to support the "Braddock" High School event consisted of
the following VFW Post 10212 members, they were:
1. Mr. Eduardo Lombard (USMC)
2. Mr. Luis Lalama (USA)
3. Mr. Benny Benitez (USN)
4. Mr. Gene Gotay (USN)
5. Mr. Jeffery Wander (USA & USAF)
A job well done to the the men above for proudly representing the VFW and VFW Post 10212, as well as the other VFW and American Legion Brothers who covered the other similar events that night.
